Pioneer Kids Day set for Aug. 13
Kids in grades 1-5 are invited for the Washington County Historical Society’s Pioneer Kids Day Thursday, Aug. 13. The “Railroads”-themed event–crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, food and history–which will include 8:45 a.m. to noon, at the Old Courthouse Museum, 320 S. 5th Ave., West Bend. Pre-registration required. For those who register by Aug. 1, the fee is $6 per child; after that date it is $7. To register, contact Jessica at (262) 335-4678.

Model T Day at Wisconsin Automotive Museum Aug. 21
Model T Day will bring Model T Fords, Model T owners and the general public together for a fun and educational event at the Wisconsin Automotive Museum in Hartford on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A variety of Model T Fords, built between 1908 and 1927, will be on display in the parking lot. Demonstrations on starting and driving a Model T will be given, along with free Model T rides around the parking lot. (Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to ride in a Model T.) Inside the museum lobby, the Model T powerplant will be explained using the museum's cutaway engine, and a movie produced by Ford Motor Company with original Model T production footage will be shown.
In addition, reduced adult admission to Wisconsin Automotive Museum will be available for this day only.
Model T Day is an event of the Dairyland Tin Lizzies chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America.

Washington County TEA Party
to be held Aug. 7
A Washington County TEA Party will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Fair Park, 3000 Pleasant Valley Rd. The free event will include live music and inspiring speakers. The sponsor for this event is Common Sense Citizens of Washington County, an affiliate of Americans for Prosperity. This non-partisan, grassroots movement is based on upholding the founding principles of the country.
