Chilly Fest at Falls Village Centre Feb. 18
The Menomonee Falls Village Centre will be hosting the fifth annual Chilly Fest Feb. 18, 2012 in downtown Menomonee Falls. Professional as well as non-professional ice carvers will be on Appleton Ave. and Main St. in competition for the top prizes in each category. A chili competition will be held at 11:00 am in a heated tent in Mill Pond Park off Main St. behind the waterfall. Sample chili when judging has been completed. Goofy winter games will be on-going at the park (maybe on the river) both for adults and children. A Taste of Italy at St. James Parish
St. James Parish in Menomonee Falls invites the community to “A Taste of Italy” on Saturday, Feb. 18th, 4-7 p.m. Dinner includes choice of two pastas, meat or meatless sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage, and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-14, $2 for children under age 5. There is also a $25 special for a family of two adults and three children. Tickets for our “Winter Cash Raffle” will be available, $10 each or 3 for $25. Drawing at 6:30 p.m. Top prize is $2,500! Dinner reservations required. Please call the parish office at (262) 251-3944. Falls Patio Players auditions for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Falls Patio Players will hold open auditions for the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Dream Coat" Feb. 20 and 21, 2012. We are looking for a large and varied cast of children and adults ages 7 to 70. February 20 will be auditions for the children’s chorus, ages 7-14. February 21 will be auditions for adults ages 16 and over. Performance dates are April 20-21-22 and 27-28-29, 2012. Prepare 16 bars of a song in your key and bring sheet music, accompanist provided. Tape recordings and unaccompanied singing are not permitted. Please wear shoes suitable for dancing. Auditions will be held at MFMS Auditorium N88 W16750 Garfield Dr. Menomonee Falls WI 53051. Wild Ones Program at Falls Library
A Wild Ones presentation, “A Close up of Insects” by Tom Kroeger, Lakeshore State Park superintendent, will be held at the Menomonee Falls Public Library, W156 N8436 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls, at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
