The Hartford girls basketball team improved its overall record to 10-4 following a 58-51 nonconference win over Oshkosh North Jan. 31. Maria Stephans and Kayla Krassman both scored 16 points for the Orioles.
Four days earlier the Orioles beat Watertown 41-29, Krassman led Hartford with 14 points.
Hartford is now in third place in the WIsconsin Little Ten Conference with a 4-3 record.
Slinger dropped to 3-4 in the Little Ten and 7-7 overall following a 42-37 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran Jan. 31.
West Bend West beat building foe West Bend East Jan. 27, 41-37. West's Meghan Conley led all scorers with 18 points while Hailey Krewald led East with nine points. Afterward, West had a 2-5 conference record and 5-8 overall mark while East remained winless in conference.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran improved its record to 10-1 in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference and 13-1 overall after two conference wins in three days.
On Jan. 26, Andrea Meinert scored 14 points while Meghan Niemann and Mikayla Voigt both added 11 points in a 69-37 win over Horicon. On Jan. 28, the Chargers' Sarah Jo Basse led all scorers with 19 pints while Meinert and Niemann added 10 points in a 65-39 win over Mayville.
Living Word Lutheran improved its overall record to 10-4 following a 67-32 nonconference win at Sheboygan Christian Jan. 30. Chanel Stelmachowicz led Living Worth with 17 points.

West Bend East beat Kettle Moraine Lutheran 49-40 in a nonconference match Jan 9. The Suns Zach Decent led all scorers with 17 points while Luke Scheuerlein led the Chargers with 12 points. Afterward, East had an overall record of 3-8 while Kettle Moraine Lutheran had an overall record of 6-4.
West Bend West had a 3-7 overall record following a 62-59 win over Port Washington Jan. 10. West's Jack Meurer led all scorers with 23 points.
Slinger had a 3-2 Little Ten record and 7-4 overall mark prior to hosting Beaver Dam Dec. 13.
Hartford had a 2-9 overall record prior to a Jan. 12 game at West Bend West.
Living Word Lutheran opened last week with a 54-50 loss at Sheboygan Christian and followed that with a 53-30 loss at Random Lake the next evening. Afterward, Living Word had overall record of 1-8.
The West Bend East girls basketball team got its first win of the season Dec. 29, as Hailey Krewald scored 12 points to lead the Suns to a 42-33 victory over Greendale at the Niki Doedens Holiday Tournament in Cedarburg.
The previous evening the Suns lost to Plymouth 53-29. East currently has an overall record of 1-7.
West Bend West had a 2-5 overall record after beating Campbellsport Dec. 29 in its lone game over the holiday break. Meghan Conley led all scorers with 22 points.
Slinger split its games at the Ashwaubenon Holiday Classic Dec. 28-29. The Owls opened the tournament with a 58-26 loss to Algoma Dec. 28 but followed it up with a 46-32 win over Ashwaubenon the next day. Andrea Held scored 12 points to lead Slinger in the loss to Algoma and led all scorers with 18 points against Ashwaubenon the next day. Afterward, Slinger had an overall record of 5-3.
Hartford won both of its games at the North Fond du Lac tourney Dec. 28-29. The Orioles topped Oakfield 53-33 on Dec. 28 and follow that up with a 51-37 win over North Fond du Lac the next day. Sara Spuler led Hartford 14 points against Oakfield while Kayla Krassman was the leasing scorer in the North Fond du Lac game with 14 points. Afterward, Hartford had an overall record of 6-2.
Boys results
Hartford split its games at the Brookfield Central Luke Homan Memorial Holiday Tournament Dec. 29-30. On Dec. 29, the Orioles lost to Milwaukee Bay View, 49-46. Tony Dallman led Hartford with 13 points. The next day Hartford beat Nicolet 54-49. Nick Holzman led all scorers with 16 points.
The Orioles opened January with a 58-55 loss to West Bend West Jan. 3. Ryan Boinski led Hartford with 20 points while West's Jack Meurer led all scorers with 27 points. After the Jan. 3 game Hartford had a 2-8 overall record while West had a 2-7 record.
In its only game over the holiday break West lost to Plymouth 61-52. Erik Engstrom led West with 21 points.
Slinger opened January with a 61-52 win over West Bend East Jan. 3. Slinger's Kirk Emmer led all scorers with 14 points while Zach Decent led East with 11 points. Afterward, Slinger had an overall record of 6-4 while East's record was 2-8.
Over the holiday break Slinger lost to Hortonville 53-50 at the Shawano Classic Dec. 37.
In its only game over the holiday break East beat Sheboygan Falls 62-60. Trenton Rehman led East with 16 points.
The West Bend East girls basketball team came within four points of Kettle Moraine Lutheran Dec. 23 before the Chargers rallied and put the game out of reach for the Suns, as the Chargers won 49-33.
Trailing 23-13 at halfime the Suns outscored the Chargers 9-3 in the opening minutes of the third quarter, as two free throws by Hailey Krewald cut the Chargers lead to 26-23. The Chargers responded with two baskets to up the lead to 32-45 at the end of the third quarter.
The Chargers then outscored the Suns 14-2 to start the fourth quarter and put the game out of reach.
Meghan Niemann of Kettle Moraine Lutheran led all scorers with 18 points while Krewald led East with 10 points.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran entered the Christmas berak with a 8-0 overall record while West Bend East had an 0-6 overall record prior the Cedarburg Classic, which was held Dec. 28-29.

The Chargers defeated Saint Mary Springs 66-20 Dec. 20. Karlee Schneiss and Meghan Niemann both led Kettle Moraine Lutheran with nine points each.
The previous Thursday, the Chargers’ Andrea Meinert was the leading scorer with 18 points in a 53-38 win over North Fond du Lac.
Prior to its Dec. 23 game at West Bend East, Kettle Moraine Lutheran had a 7-0 record while also being ranked fourth in the state Division 3 coaches poll.
West Bend East remained winless in five games after a 55-29 loss to Oconomowoc Dec. 20.
