West Bend West has the top seed in third sectional of the WIAA summer baseball tournament.
Postseason play begins July 20. West will have a first round bye. Its first game will be at Random Lake at 11 a.m. July 23 against the winner of the Oostburg/Campbellsport game. The winner of that contest will play at 5 p.m. for a chance to go to the state tournament.
West Bend East is seeded third in the sectional and will host Random Lake July 20. Slinger is seeded seventh and will play at Brookfield East July 20.
Regular season wrapping up: West Bend West finished first in the North Shore Conference with a 17-1 conference record and a 28-2 overall mark. The Spartans beat Whitefish Bay 8-5 on July 9 and followed that up with 7-6 loss to Muskego July 10. After hosting Brookfield Central July 15, West will finish the regular season at Waukesha North July 17.
East had a 8-10 conference record and 13-19 overall mark with two regular season games remaining. East will host Plymouth July 16 and play at Brookfield Central July 17. The Suns beat Oostburg 7-2 July 10.
Slinger had a 8-10 conference record and 12-12 overall mark. Slinger beat Sheboygan Falls 12-2 July 9.The Owls will finish the regular season by hosting Campbellsport July 16.
